Frequently Asked Questions about RxKey Pharmacy Software
How long is the average implementation cycle when integrating a new pharmacy system?
The implementation cycle depends on the needs of your pharmacy, but the average time is one to two months.
Is data conversion part of the implementation process?
We have a preferred data conversion company that can perform most data conversions. We believe data conversion is an important part of the implementation process and will fully support your pharmacy through the conversion process.
Will the training of the new pharmacy system be done on-site?
A KeyCentrix implementation and training specialist will be present at your pharmacy for the install, implementation, and training of RxKey.
Are you interfaced with my wholesaler?
RxKey interfaces with most major and regional wholesalers. It is likely that we are currently interfaced with your wholesaler for both price updates and ordering.
Is the “workflow” component of RxKey a separate module?
No, we believe that workflow is a key component of any successful pharmacy operation. The workflow features of the software are included with the RxKey license.
Do you have Electronic Signature Capture, and how much will it cost?
RxKey has built-in e-sig support at no additional charge; all you need is the signature pad and a barcode scanner.
Can we choose our own switching company, or do we have to use yours?
If we already have a relationship with your current switching company, you can continue to use them. We have relationships with several switching companies, so it is likely that we offer your current company. If you don't have a preferred switching company, we can recommend one for you.
Can I use E-prescribing with RxKey?
RxKey is SureScripts certified. Electronic prescriptions are automatically added to your RxKey WorkQueue and can be processed without manual data entry.
What are your support hours, and how long after I leave a message can I expect a callback?
Our experienced support staff is available 24/7. During business hours, a live staff member will answer your call; you should never have to leave a voicemail. After regular business hours, your call will normally be returned in less than five minutes if a representative is unable to immediately answer your call.
Can I reuse my existing printers and workstations, and do I have to purchase new equipment to use RxKey?
We encourage you to reuse your existing equipment when possible, but most pharmacies will need to replace their server. Our staff can assist you in assessing your equipment needs.
